Data released by National Intellectual Property Administration show that 3,500 patents of all kinds on sewing machinery have been applied in total in the first half of 2020 (till the declaration day, the same below), growing by 29.77% on year-on-year basis. Specifically, 840 pcs are patents for invention, making up 24% of all these patents; 2,075 patents for utility model, making up 59.29%; 585 patents for industrial design (including textile machinery), making up 16.71%. Besides, 359 patents have been newly licensed.

It's also known from data that though the sewing machinery industry was faced with difficulties and challenges in the first half of 2020, the innovation of overall tech research still grows rapidly, demonstrating that leading enterprises have built awareness of patents gradually and unleashed innate strength of original research and development, and the construction of core tech research system has been accelerated.
